Christmas at Antebellum Farmhouse

I have been terrible about posting on my blog….but I am back.  I have tons of material to share, but I just have to take the time to sit down and write.  I could just post photos…but as a blog reader, I always want to know more about the photos and where they came from.  I was reminded last night by my friend, Bethany Grubb, that I needed to get busy again. I was fortunate enough to attend her Christmas party at her home,  Antebellum Farmhouse, in Granville, Ohio.  The house has been lovingly restored by Bethany and her husband Eric.  Bethany is a talented stylist and fellow antique dealer who has one of the most unique eyes for vintage interiors.  When I walked into her farmhouse, it was John Derian meets Paris with a twist of gothic Victorian romance!

The stairs with a twist on a traditional garland...a vintage rope wrapped with the greens.

One of the trees greeting side entrance visitors....decorated with silhouette tags from John Derian and sitting on a stack of vintage suitcases.

A vintage Grange ribbon from a county fair in place of the traditional bow on the wreath.

An open Victorian armoire becomes a wine bar...complete with a chalkboard wine list for guests.

Small vignettes created from Bethany's finds made the perfect finishing touch.

Every surface in each room was a food the island in the kitchen.....and the food and greenery displayed in more of Bethany's picks.

This is an idea for those vintage chicken and turkey feeders out there....

The Antebellum Farmhouse Christmas party was inspirational and a real treat….great people, food, drinks and what a great atmosphere.  Bethany is available to style or decorate the event of your dreams….please check out her website,,,, ….and of course you can also find her at the Rural Society Antique Sale in May here at my farm!
